To prevent a potentially expensive repair to your camera’s USB port, try our simple strategies:
- It’s important to support the USB cable so that any strain on the port is alleviated. An easy way to do this is to thread the lead through the strap, allowing enough length to loop lead into socket.
- Another solution is to use good old Velcro sticky pads. Affix one sticky pad part way down the USB cable (see diag.2), and one to the body of the camera.
